3. Wiki Tour

You're currently taking the Homestar Runner Wiki tour! The content below is from Characters on this wiki. This page is not a transcript of a cartoon, but a list that draws from all the cartoons. It contains a picture of and link to a page about nearly every character that has ever been seen within the Homestar Runner body of work. Although you may not visit this page very often, there are many other pages on the wiki with a format like this (for example, Toons, Games, and Main Pages, to name a few). Note the "Contents" box below the first paragraph; every heading on the page has a link here for convenience. Note also the [#Related_Pages Related Pages] section, for subtopics or related topics like Unseen Characters.

Main characters

These are the principal recurring characters of Homestar Runner's world. Each of these characters has their own introduction video tape on the Character Videos menu.

Secondary characters

Characters who appear now and then, but aren't quite part of the inner cadre of Free Country, USA's leading citizens.

Bands and musicians

Bands large [#Minor_bands and small] can be heard in Free Country, USA, with many of them even releasing full songs and albums.

Limozeen

Glam metal band Limozeen is one of Strong Bad's favorite bands.

Limozeen starred in a short-lived cartoon where they ventured into outer space.

Bands formed by main characters

Videlectrix

Fictional video game company Videlectrix is responsible for many of the games featured on homestarrunner.com.

The setting of Peasantry primarily features in the games TROGDOR! and Peasant's Quest.

A series of text adventures that originated from the Strong Bad Email "video games".

The King's servants

The King of Town employs a few other characters besides The Poopsmith.

Mascots

The empty lot where Strong Bad is king is home to a few other pseudocharacters.

Variations

The Brothers Chaps sometimes recreate the entire cast of the website in an alternate style, often populating these variations with new characters who have no counterpart in the "normal" world. This section is for tracking and organizing all of the variations of the main characters.

There are also complicated narrative modes on the site. Strong Bad often answers "what if" questions in his emails, which leads to minor variations on normal characters. Anything created by The Cheat has a very rudimentary Flash style. Puppets are sometimes used in lieu of animation. Several toons, starting with the 100th Strong Bad Email, flashback, deliberately use an animation style which matches some of the earliest work of The Brothers Chaps.

1930-era toons from the days of black and white silent movies and early talkies.

An alternate universe containing futuristic anime versions of Homestar Runner characters.

Characters from the original Homestar Runner storybook or in that style.

Younger versions of characters

Variations of the characters that are younger than their main counterparts. Unlike many of Strong Bad's fanciful recollections, these are more likely to represent how the characters actually were in their younger years.

A television show starring several teenaged variations of the characters, spoofing '70s Hanna-Barbera cartoons (primarily Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!). Originating from Strong Bad's recollections in high school. See Mysfit-steries Character Variations for character details.

Other variations from high school

The Strong Bad Email "high school" briefly featured several additional recollections of how the characters appeared when they were younger. These exaggerated variations have not been featured outside the initial email.

Middle school variation

Muppet Babies-like infant variations of the characters. See Middle School Character Variations for character details.

Free Petry Dish, USA

Microscopic variations of the characters. See Free Petry Dish, USA Character Variations for character details.

The Homestar Runner cast revamped for the 90's! See Xeriouxly Forxe Character Variations for character details.

The Homestar Runner cast put in a children's show in Strong Bad's mind. See Yonder Website Character Variations for character details.
