The Visor Robot is a futuristic robot that was invented by Strong Bad while making up stories at the Homestarloween Party. In Strong Sad's version of the story, the robot had a human brain which belonged to an old man who was the father of The Sad Kids. He is a large, humanoid robot with a prominent groove on his torso and a single antenna on top of his head, in addition to the red visor that gives him his name. Inside the robot's head there is a red light bulb that makes the visor light up when talking. He has been known to shoot lasers out of his visor with a loud "VOIP". In his testimonial for Senor Cardgage Mortgage, he claims that the mortgage company helped consolidate his "whole life into this tiny box." He once had a stint recording personalized messages for money, a moment in his life he considers very depressing. There is also a miniaturized visor robot that is used as a Digital Assistant.

The Visor Robot's voice in Everybody to the Limit comes from Macintosh's Zarvox, while his voice in Senor Mortgage is derived from Microsoft Sam. However, despite the fact that the former is Powered by The Cheat and the latter is in the main universe, he reverts to the former voice in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2 and in robots.

Stlunko, a boss from the game Stinkoman 20X6, bears a strong resemblance to the Visor Robot. Therefore, it is possible that Stlunko is the Robot's 20X6 counterpart.

The Visor Robot bears a resemblance to Maximillian, the evil robot from The Black Hole.

Name

The Visor Robot was not referred to as such on the website until Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2, more than fifteen years after its first appearance. Strong Bad and the other Halloween storytellers simply referred to it as "the robot". Senor Cardgage called it "Valerie" in a commercial for Senor Cardgage Mortgage, though the robot emphatically denied this was its name. It was labeled as "fhqwhgads robot" in the Weekly Sketchbook, due to its brief appearance in Everybody to the Limit. In robots, Strong Bad's notes list his name as "Visor Robot" while Homestar refers to a miniaturized digital assistant version of him as "Fhqwh-bot".

In the DVD commentary for Homestarloween Party, The Brothers Chaps revealed that although they had never specifically named the robot, they now refer to it by the name Visor Robot because of the longtime usage of the name by the Homestar Runner Wiki.
