Homestar Runner Updates is a Homestar Runner email newsletter run by the Brothers Chaps. Launched under the name The Deleteheads Download, the newsletter annouces new updates to the site as well as new games and merchandise, as well as behind-the-scenes previews of these.
The option to sign up for a mailing list was first offered through a message on the footer of the site's index page on January 13, 2018 (Trogday). At the time, the site was "trying out some new stuff" in preparation for the discontinuation of Flash — this included exploring several redesigns of the site in general and the index page in particular.
The first installment of this newsletter was sent less than two weeks later, on January 24. "The Deleteheads Download" was written in-character as Strong Sad, leader of Strong Bad Email fan club The Deleteheads, sent from his email address (depressio@homestarrunner.com). Four volumes were sent out, continuing through November of 2019.
In 2024, the emails returned with a fifth installment. These were now rebranded simply as "Homestar Runner Updates", sent from deleteheads@homestarrunner.com; acknowledging the time that had passed, emails now included a footer that allowed no-longer-interested former fans to unsubscribe. The footer also includes links to social media and music streaming profiles. The newsletter is no longer written in-character (though it still features the site's signature sense of humor), allowing for more concise descriptions of what is new.
Just dropping you all a line to say thanks for validating my unhealthy obsession with my own brother. And to give you an exclusive peek at Stinkoman Level 10!
We here at Deleteheads Central (aka underneath this Afghan Whigs afghan blanket on my bed with an old Lappy) managed to get a hold of Videlectrix Two himself via land line and he smuggled us this gif of a new destructible floor block in action via 1600 baud dial-up modem.
Sadly, Videlectrix One stormed in before he could send me any more and started ranting about "Grood Gaphics." When Two tried to correct him, it only made things worse.
A couple days later, I got this photo in the mail. Videlectrix Two says he found it on the floor of the 'Boardalectrix' offices next door. To what does this portend?!
Please be seated, Deleteheads. The crowdfunding Kickcheater campaign for Trogdor!! The Board Game is live at last (like my fav Sabbath record) at THIS LINK RIGHT HERE!
There's plenty to check out there including a Boardelectrix commercial (I can never tell if it's retro, ironic, or if they honestly don't know what decade it is) and a gameplay demo with yours truly, the Deathly Pallor, in my very own tabletop review show 'Six-Sadded, Die.'
If you like what you see, be sure and pledge it up so tabletop burnination can become a reality for all. Aaand so I can finally get revenge on Strong Bad for burning my chiaroscuro dragon drawing. It's a cooperative game but I can sabotage SB's efforts from the inside! Like ophiocordyceps unilateralis, the zombie fungus that takes over insects' brains and makes them do its bidding!
Sneak peek time, Deleteheads. HomestarRunner.com is working on a redesigned front page that will work on all devices without Flash. That's right, the website is finally being brought into the year...
Well, about 2007 from the looks of it. But hey, that's better than nothing, right? Give it a spin! See what you like and what you hate. Don't worry, the old Flash version of the site will always be available right up until Adobe throws the killswitch (I'm campaigning to make Strong Bad the one who actually throws it!).
Please be seated, Deleteheads. The Kickcheater campaign to fund the production of Trogdor!! The Board Game has almost reached its close.
Nearly 20,000 kind souls have pledged to help bring this game to life so far. And best of all, they raised enough money to create alternate Trodgor meeples including my very own chiaroscuro shaded Burninator! Sadly, he has to share that honor with Coach Z's Wormdingler which is unsettling just to type out.
The campaign ends on Wednesday August 15th at 6pm EST. So if you still want to secure a copy of the game, CLICK HERE to head to the Kickcheater page and pledge it on up!
But if you still need some convincing, there's a PRINT & PLAY version available for download so you can test-drive Trogdor yourself or at least take a peek at the rules and see if cooperative burnination is right for you and your family!
And last, there's another installment of my tabletop review show Six-Sadded, Die. In this episode, my thrifting pal Lucky Yates and I try to remember the rules to an obscure Boardelectrix familial dynamics game 'Don't Make Daddy P.O.'d.'
You can find the video here in this Kickcheater update. Lucky respects me for my taste in driftwood pigeons and, of course, country dish towels.
Just in time for you to teach your unwilling holiday relatives how to play Trogdor!! The Board Game, it's a new official playthough video featuring Human Mike, Strong Bad, Homestar, and yours truly. Watch it!
Here you'll find Homestar-related baubles for the Homestar and/or bauble enthusiast in your life! *Order by December 5th to guarantee delivery before Dec 25th.
We've launched a new TeeSpring store for print-on-demand apparel and other cool products like mugs, pillows, phone cases, and wall hangings. Check it out!
And lastly, Strong Bad Sings and the Rulebook Album from Trogdor!! The Board Game are finally on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, and more. Or, as Strong Bad calls them, "the streamins." Just search for "Strong Bad."
Okay, Deleteheads, I'm signing off. I hope you enjoy this Ween-to-Ween season which is a turn of phrase I just made up and will now never use again.
How's about a Yonder Website t-shirt featuring Characters 1 and 2! Gumption? Spice o' life? This print-on-demand shirt is available in one blue and 2 grays. Get it here!

Homestar Runner and Strong Bad are called "internetm'ns", demonstrating the running gags of "man" pronounced as "m'n" and using "mans" instead of "men".
