Playing with the band from 1980 until its disbanding in 1983 and again from its reformation in 1995 until 2000, Doyle has since gone on to play in various other bands including one that bore his name. The pink cloth next to The Cheat when he is first shown is a thneed. It is a fictional, all-purpose item made from the Truffula trees, which the Lorax tries to protect during the story.
