Sometimes, the characters of the Homestar Runner universe will refer to fading other characters, a slang term used to indicate disrespect. The phrase is most often used by Coach Z, as part of his fondness for hip hop lingo.
Appearances
- Email new hands — Coach Z debuts his song, "These Peoples Try to Fade Me", while Strong Bad responds that he wasn't trying to fade him. A full version of this song was later released on Strong Bad Sings And Other Type Hits.
- Email marzipan — hooray4dolphins asks, "are you trying to fade me?"
- Wonkavision Magazine Interview — Coach Z says the world might hear him on the mic when the peoples stop trying to fade him. Strong Bad also says that you can't fade Pom Pom, but you can fade Coach Z.
