Grrl (also spelled as grrrl) is an intentional misspelling of the word "girl", and it is a favorite slang word of Strong Bad, as well as other characters in Homestar Runner cartoons. The spelling is based on the Riot Grrrl scene, a feminist punk movement from the early 1990s.
