<p>The <b>Yearbook Character Page</b> is a <a href="/index.php?title=School" title="School">school</a>-themed <a href="/index.php?title=Characters" title="Characters">characters</a> page. Eleven characters are photographed, and each picture links to a short summary about the character.

Bubs is an entrepreneur,<br/>
but he can't spell that, so<br/>
let's just say he's awesome.<br/>
He runs the concession stand<br/>
down at the sports fields.<br/>
That's <a href="/index.php?title=Why_Come" title="Why Come">why come</a> he's so fat.<br/>
He keeps eating all his profits.<br/>
But then he goes out and<br/>
dances all the pounds off at<br/>
Disco Tech, where he attends<br/>
night courses. In his spare time he has boring<br/>
conversations with Coach Z and reads back issues<br/>
of Motor Trend magazine.

<blockquote> | <blockquote>
Nobody knows what the Cheat<br/>
is exactly or where he comes<br/>
from but my guess is Space. He<br/>
sure does like to cheat though.<br/>
His personal motto, "No rule is<br/>
solid" and his love of all that is<br/>
untrue and incorrect keep him<br/>
from accomplishing very much.<br/>
He gladly does all the dirty work for the Brothers<br/>
Strong, and nobody ever seems to blame the<br/>
Cheat for what he done. I mean he's the Cheat.<br/>
Come on. When all is said and done, and your<br/>
grandkids live on Mars, the Cheat'll be doin alright.

making it to state this year.<br/>
The Coach knows how to<br/>
get 110 percent out of<br/>
Homestar and the rest of<br/>
the team. He's the master<br/>
of all the big sports. You know<br/>

to have been a chart topping rapper back in his<br/>
home country. We'll see about that.

And how come he smells so<br/>
bad? Homestar thinks he could be<br/>
over 1,000 years old. And Strong Bad says he has<br/>

The Yearbook Character Page is a school-themed characters page. Eleven characters are photographed, and each picture links to a short summary about the character.
An "autographs" portion of the yearbook includes signatures and salutations from several of the characters. Their personalities are further emphasized by their comments and handwriting — Strong Sad's superb penmanship, Pom Pom's fliratious phone numbers, and Strong Mad's difficulty with spelling.

Bubs
Page Title: Bubs C. Stand
Original Page Title: Bubs
{Bubs is standing in front of a silhouetted concession stand, throwing a can and kicking it back to his hand.}
Bubs is an entrepreneur,
but he can't spell that, so
let's just say he's awesome.
He runs the concession stand
down at the sports fields.
That's why come he's so fat.
He keeps eating all his profits.
But then he goes out and
dances all the pounds off at
Disco Tech, where he attends
night courses. In his spare time he has boring
conversations with Coach Z and reads back issues
of Motor Trend magazine.
The Cheat
Page Title: The Cheat is a Millionare!
Original Page Title: The Cheat
{The Cheat is standing in front of some blue spots. He narrows his eyes, shifts to both sides, and smiles, making his gold tooth gleam.}
Nobody knows what the Cheat
is exactly or where he comes
from but my guess is Space. He
sure does like to cheat though.
His personal motto, "No rule is
solid" and his love of all that is
untrue and incorrect keep him
from accomplishing very much.
He gladly does all the dirty work for the Brothers
Strong, and nobody ever seems to blame the
Cheat for what he done. I mean he's the Cheat.
Come on. When all is said and done, and your
grandkids live on Mars, the Cheat'll be doin alright.
Coach Z
Page Title: The Fightin' Coach Z
Original Page Title: Coach z
{Coach Z is standing in front of a silhouetted clipboard and spinning a whistle with his hand.}
Coach Z is a crazy man from
another country that sleeps
in the locker room. He's also
the best hope we've got for
making it to state this year.
The Coach knows how to
get 110 percent out of
Homestar and the rest of
the team. He's the master
of all the big sports. You know
the ones I mean. The BIG ones. Coach also claims
to have been a chart topping rapper back in his
home country. We'll see about that.
Homestar Runner
Page Title: Homestar Michael Runner
Original Page Title: Homestar Runner
{Homestar is shown inside a blue star. He inhales, holds his breath, turns red and then blue, then exhales, panting for breath.}
This guy is everyone's best friend.
He is 2 to 3 times better than
the next best person in
the world. That's why he
wins everything and why
everyone loves him so much.
he can be pretty dumb, sure,
but it's just cause he's so
danged nice. His main man
Pom-Pom is always there
picking up the slack for him. Asked what his
favorite season is, Homestar responded, "Sure."
You can't beat that with a stick, can ya?
The King of Town
Page Title: His Broiled Majesty High Kingimost of Towne the Third
Original Page Title: The King of Town
{The King of Town is standing in front of a silhouetted tower. He falls asleep and wakes up, with his crown jumping and spinning in the air before landing back on his head.}
The King of Town is the elder
statesman of Free Country
USA. He doesn't really do
anything other than eat and
sleep. Come to think of it, he
doesn't even sleep. He only
eats. And talks about eating.
His reign as king dates back
to before any of you were
born, so don't worry about it.
Also, he employs The Poopsmith for reasons
no one is sure of, and he has a flock of sheep,
also for reasons no one is sure of. Weird old man.
Marzipan
Page Title: Marzipan
{Marzipan is standing in front of several yellow flowers. She is holding a book, flipping a page and jumping a little.}
Marzipan is Homestar's
girlfriend. No wait, she's not.
Or she is, but don't tell her I
said that. Anyway, Marzi can
often be seen swimming with
the dolphins in the swampy
marsh or tending to her
substantial herd of goats. Other
hobbies include: BBQing, fencing,
songwriting and oil painting (many of her
paintings are laden with symbolic images). I think
Strong Bad put it best when he described her as
'a dirty hippie...without the dirt'.
Pom Pom
Page Title: Pom Pom, Son of General Pom of Family Pom of the Isle of Pom
Original Page Title: Pom Pom
{Pom Pom is standing in front of a large blue blot. He points in one direction, winks, and repeats in the other direction.}
Pom Pom is a pom, which
means he comes from The
Isle of Pom, where all 27
of his girlfriends live. He's
Homestar's best friend for
sure and for true. His IQ is
off the charts as is his
attendance. His sharp wits
often get ol' Homestar out of some pretty tight
jams. I don't mean to call Homestar stupid or
nothin but sometimes his excessive niceness
can cloud his better judgement. And Pom Pom's
always there to turn that cloud upside down.
The Poopsmith
Page Title: The Poopsmith
{The Poopsmith is standing in front of a silhouetted pile of whatsit. He chews and blows a bubble gum bubble, which then pops.}
Here's what we know about the
Poopsmith currently:
He shovels crap for the King of
Town. And he smells really bad.
And that's it. Everything else
is a mystery. Like what are
those stains on his gloves?
And how come he smells so
bad? Homestar thinks he could be
over 1,000 years old. And Strong Bad says he has
crap for brains. But he's been calling everybody
'crap for brains' lately so I wouldn't give that one
too much thought.
Strong Bad
Page Title: Strong Bad
{Strong Bad is standing in front of a yellow explosion. He lifts his arms, looks up, and begins to shake his arms while the background flashes a few times.}
"I cannot tell a lie. You are so
stupid." That's our Strong Bad,
always charmingly irreverent,
always a big jerk. He tries so
hard to be lowdown and
rotten but usually ends up
being hilarious and in last
place. With the help of his
brother Strong Mad and their little
yellow thing the Cheat, Strong Bad does everything
he can to ruin Homestar's day, despite their
one-time plans to get matching tattoos. All in all,
Strong Bad will spit in your food and ask for a bite.
Strong Mad
Page Title: Strong Mad
{Strong Mad's face and upper body are seen inside a large M. He is inhaling and exhaling while slowly falling asleep. He drools on himself and wakes up again.}
If anyone is truly a big lug,
Strong Mad is. This guy is
dumb and strong, and that's
pretty much the definition of
a lug. One time, his brother
Strong Bad asked him to pick
up this one car. And so he did,
but it was the wrong car. See?
Dumb and strong. He'll do just
about anything Strong Bad
tells him to do. One time, he asked him to pick up
this one car... oh wait, already said that one. Strong
Mad and the Cheat are best friends. Hi-Five.
Strong Sad
Page Title: Strong Sad
{Strong Sad is standing in front of a big teardrop. He rubs his eye with his finger and sighs.}
Strong Sad is a depressing lump.
A fat, gray, elephant-footed
depressing lump. But look at
how cute he is. Awww. His
brothers Strong Bad and
Mad disowned him a while
back because he refused to
help them cheat. Plus they
thought he was a total drag.
Pretty much everybody thinks
he's a total drag. But Homestar and the gang still
love him even though he tends to worry too much
and bring everybody down... and be a total drag.

Fun Facts
Explanations
- Homsar is not in the yearbook because he had not been created yet.
- Strong Bad's "RHTS" is an abbreviation for "Raise Hell This Summer", an exhortation popular in yearbooks of bygone decades.
Trivia
- By this point, the Poopsmith is now considered a main character. He had been excluded from the prior "Characters" page.
- Bubs stands in front of a silhouetted concession stand.
- Marzipan is depicted reading a book titled The Chronology of Moths.
- The area code of Pom Pom's pager, 718, covers the outer boroughs of New York City and is referenced in several hip-hop works. Due to the numbering system, an area code of "123" is not possible in North America.
- Several characters — Bubs, The Cheat, Coach Z, Homestar Runner, The King of Town, and Pom Pom — had their page titles expanded during the post-Flash site update.
Remarks
- Although the word "the" is considered part of The Cheat's name, it is not capitalized like it usually is.
- The old pop-up menu can be accessed from the main "Yearbook" page, brought up by mousing over the bottom of the toon frame.
- The concept of The Cheat being from space has not been returned to in any cartoon.
- In the Strong Bad Email flashback, Strong Bad believes that The Cheat is from a giant egg filled with a lifetime supply of fish sticks.
- Strong Mad's misspelling of his own name as "Strng Man" is one letter away from Strong Man, his Old-Timey counterpart.
- Disco Tech is a homonym for the French word "discothèque", meaning "dance club".
- The bits of bubble gum on The Poopsmith's page fly off the actual page, beyond the boundaries of the book.
Goofs
- Marzipan turns the pages of her book from right-to-left, the wrong direction for reading in English.
Fixed Goofs
- Coach Z's page had the title "Coach z", with an uncapitalized "z".
Inside References
- Bubs is throwing around the can from "Kick the Can" on his page.
- Bubs's page also mentions the sports fields.
Real-World References
- Disko Tech, spelled very similarly to Bubs's alma mater, is a school featured in oft-referenced Batman episode "The Joker Goes to School".
Fast Forward
- Later instances of Strong Bad's handwriting would standardize the use of the font AhnbergHand, instead of the lettering seen here..
- The statement that Coach Z "sleeps in the locker room" is revisited on several occasions —
- In A Jorb Well Done, he sleeps on the bench listening to Strong Sad's cassette tape.
- In Coach Z's Character Video, he tells the camera he usually sleeps on a bench.
- In Decemberween Short Shorts, he rests in a locker.
- The Homestar Quiz asks "Where does Bubs attend night classes?" — the answer, "Disco Tech", is only concretely answered here. As of 2003, the Yearbook Character Page is not linked to from anywhere on the site, making this question difficult to answer.
- The email rated depicts Bubs wearing a Disco Tech sweatshirt, though it does not explicate his relationship to the school.
- Homestar has a much easier time holding his breath here in the yearbook than he does in Halloween Fairstival, when Strong Bad pays him to stop breathing.
- In the email virus, Strong Mad is turned into this yearbook picture (accompanied by some of the text appearing) by the virus.
- Homestar and Strong Bad again discuss their tattoo plans in Strong Bad is a Bad Guy.
- In the email narrator, Strong Bad points out that Bubs and Coach Z are having a boring conversation.
- Coach Z's ability to get "110 percent" out of the team is revisited in the title of Coach Z's 110%.
