The show, adapted from a children's book series, is about a young boy named Bod who lives in a town with several other characters (seen in an Easter egg) who were all introduced with memorable musical themes. The show used a simple, limited animation style and featured a single narrator rather than voice actors. Four of the rings represent the four classical physical elements (Earth, fire, wind, water) and the fifth represents life (heart).
