The Cheat's Head Exploding

The Cheat's head seems to explode quite a lot. His face turns black and his hair is pushed back when it happens. This can happen when he gets too excited, worried, confused, or physically shaken. It is likely that the original joke was a satire on the myth that drinking soda pop while eating popping candy causes them to explode, and then the joke turned into a running gag.

  • Inexplicably, The Cheat's head would also explode if Strong Mad ate actual rocks and bit off a half-can of soda.

• Ballad of The Sneak — The Sneak's head explodes when the record player he's listening to blows up in his face.
• Email couch patch — The Cheat's head explodes after Strong Bad attempts to have his computer make Homestar's head explode.
• Email pizzaz — The Cheat's confusion over seeing two Strong Bads causes him to oscillate his head back and forth in a continual double take, which eventually leads to his head exploding.
• Happy Fireworks — The Cheat provided the pyrotechnics display for Free Country, USA after being shaken by Strong Mad.
