"Don't ask me why I said it. Because I already forgot."

Everybody Knows It is the very first Puppet Stuff short in the Homestar Runner body of work, released on Monday, September 29, 2003. It introduces the puppet versions of Homestar Runner and The Cheat. Herein, The Cheat plays the titular tune for Homestar, who sings that "everybody knows it's true", that "you gotta do the best you can" and to "work out twice a day", but he then sings not to ask him why he said it, because he already forgot. When the song ends, The Cheat then goes back to putting dog food in Homestar's shoes. This song originated in the Strong Bad Email labor day and in 2005, it was made into a Puppet Jam, available only on the first volume of the Everything Else DVD series. (more...) watch
