The King of Town and The Poopsmith's Relationship

A not-so-dynamic duo.

The Poopsmith only ever shows respect to The King of Town, and never otherwise. The King also seems to respect The Poopsmith and appreciate his help and friendship. Only very rarely does the King insult the Poopsmith's smell and lack of cleanliness. Other than the Poopsmith's usual job of shoveling whatsit, he also often helps the King with various other tasks, almost like a butler. The Poopsmith also sometimes plays a bodyguard role for the King of Town, being the fighting force of The Municipality, although in Where's The Cheat?, the King was attacked by Coach Z and Strong Mad in the presence of the Poopsmith, who either made no effort to intervene or simply didn't react in time.

The King of Town and The Poopsmith getting along

• The House That Gave Sucky Treats — The King defends The Poopsmith when Strong Bad makes fun of his costume.
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — The King is quite distraught when he discovers that The Poopsmith has been kidnapped.
• Email old comics — According to Strong Bad, The King of Town and The Poopsmith have been together since they got their start as an old syndicated newspaper comic. In The Castlefunnies, the two seem to have normal casual conversation, although the Poopsmith only speaks in word balloons filled with commas, so his attitude towards the King is unclear.
• The King of Town's Very Own Quite Popular Cartoon Show — The King tries to help The Poopsmith smell better, along with all his servants.
• 8 Bit is Enough — In the Wolfenstein 3D-style dungeon level, when the King 'dies', he says goodbye to The Poopsmith in German.

• Halloween Potion-ma-jig — The Poopsmith helps the King look for a ham sandwich that he buried in the spooky woods.
• Email disconnected — The Poopsmith protects the King from Strong Bad's body.
• Email more armies — In the video for The Municipality, The Poopsmith is shown supporting it.
• Email business trip — The King tells The Poopsmith to prepare the bathtub.
• Email rated (Easter egg) — The King calls for the Poopsmith and tells him to pack his bags and plastic fangs for a trip to Transylvania.
• Email winter pool — The Poopsmith pushes a button in the end of his shovel which sends an "Eat a Lot of Food Alert" to the King in his castle, who then arrives and saves the Poopsmith, Strong Bad, and Homestar Runner from drowning in Fluffy Puff Translucent Dessert Related Substance.
• Homestar Ruiner — The Poopsmith is patrolling the Hall of Records along with Strong Mad, guarding it from bandits.
• Strong Badia The Free — The Poopsmith in riot gear protects and serves the King throughout the episode.
• The House That Gave Sucky Tricks — The Poopsmith bottles up the smell of "Strong Mad Oyster Smoothie Breath Caked Armpit Latte" for the King.

The King of Town insulting The Poopsmith

• Theme Song Video — The King is disgusted when the Poopsmith brings in a plate of whatsit.
• Email for kids — An Easter egg shows a can of The KOT's Good Gravy with the slogan "I don't lets the Poopsmith near it!"
• The King of Town's Very Own Quite Popular Cartoon Show — This entire toon is based on the King and his other servants trying to overcome The Poopsmith's smell. In the first scene, the King tells him "you smell like a crapsmith." Interestingly, however, just before this, the King told him "don't forget to forget to wash your hands."
• I Killed Pom Pom — The King eats the Poopsmith's whatsit pile and brushes off the accusation by telling the Poopsmith to "stop acting like [his] dad".
