The Brothers Chaps have participated in several side projects independent of Homestar Runner, especially during hiatuses.

Websites

• Mellow Mushroom — Mike and Matt designed this website in 2001 for a chain of pizza restaurants headquartered in Georgia. The layout, navigation, and sound effects are similar to that of Homestar Runner, and the voices of the brothers and Missy Palmer are very distinctive.
• Thorax Corporation — The Brothers Chaps, primarily Matt, created this website for a fictional company, and hid a link to the site in one of the Fortune Cookies. The Thorax Corporation is made up of stereotypical, overly aggressive domain-name owners who offer domain-name registration services while bombarding visitors with popups and ads.
• The Great World of Sound — The Brothers Chaps made this fake website to promote the film they produced of the same name (see [#Film below]). According to Craig Zobel, it was somewhat inspired by the Thorax Corporation website (see [#Thorax above]).
• Eric Conveys an Emotion — The Brothers Chaps guest-starred in two of Eric's "Adventure Edition" photo galleries, "The Football Game" and "The Interview".
• Ron Planet — A comic strip written by Matt Chapman and Craig Zobel. Accessible from the Videlectrix site's game gallery, by clicking on the Ron Planet blurb on the Duck Guardian 2 box.
• Happy Holidays, Mike Chapman Style — On December 16, 2011, Mike created an animated customer story for email marketing service MailChimp.
• Rick and Morty's Rushed Licensed Adventure — Mike and Jonathan Howe helped create this Rick and Morty Flash game for the Adult Swim website. Similar to Dangeresque Roomisode 1: Behind the Dangerdesque, it is a retro-styled point-and-click adventure game released in four episodes.
• Cosmic Scoundrels File:Exclamation Mark.png The external website linked here contains offensive language and/or content. content warning — Starting in early 2014, Matt created this ongoing webcomic along with Andy Suriano. The comic contains Easter eggs in the traditional Homestar style, offsetting the darker, sketchier tone of the other illustrations.

• Sealab 2021 — Matt performed two songs in a Larry Palaroncini-style voice for an episode entitled "Sharko's Machine".File:Exclamation Mark.png The external website linked here contains offensive language and/or content. content warning

• Twigger's Holiday — Matt animated sequences for two episodes.
• Yo Gabba Gabba! — Created an animated cartoon, "Faldarz and the Yellow Alien", for the episode "Friends". Matt later wrote and directed the show, starting in season three.
• The Aquabats! Super Show! — From the creators of Yo Gabba Gabba!, Matt is co-writer, director, and appeared in multiple episodes of the show. One of his appearances had him take the role of "Carl", a masked magician who resembles and talks like Strong Bad. This is far from The Brothers Chaps' first collaboration with the Aquabats.
• Both of The Brothers Chaps have had a development deal with Disney Television Animation. According to Matt in a podcast interview, he and Mike created a pilot about a robot foreign exchange student for Disney XD.
  • Gravity Falls — Matt has done some writing and additional voices in certain episodes of the show.
  • Wander Over Yonder — Matt is a writer for the episodes "The Bounty" and "The Time Bomb", while Mike helped write "The Liar". Craig McCracken's previous show Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends referenced Homestar a decade earlier.
  • Mickey Mouse — Matt did "brainstorming" for the short "The Boiler Room".
  • Star vs. the Forces of Evil — Matt voices Alfonzo and other characters.
  • Pickle and Peanut — Matt provides the voice of Mr. Mjart, and wrote on three episodes.
  • Amphibia — Matt voices Tritonio in the episode "Combat Camp".
  • The Owl House — Additional voices have been contributed by Matt.
• One Dollar — Matt portrays Clark Shaw, father of Cooper Shaw (Matt’s real-life daughter Ida Chapman) in her namesake episode.

• The Paul and Storm Nondenominational Perennial Holiday Special - Parts One and Two File:Exclamation Mark.png The external website linked here contains offensive language and/or content. content warning — Paul and Storm created a parody of holiday specials in two parts; Part One was released on December 1st, 2014, and Part Two was released on December 23. It was created in order to serve as the $100,000 stretch goal for Paul and Storm's Ball Pit album. Mike and Matt are credited with animating the special, as well as helping to create the story. In addition, Matt voiced the character Mister Small Business. One of the backgrounds also contains a Videlectrix logo, and the "Indie Record Store" character bears a resemblance to Mike.
• Two More Eggs — A series of shorts produced by The Brothers Chaps for Disney XD's YouTube channel and other platforms.
• Camp Camp — Matt provides the voice of Carl, Neil's father in the season 2 finale File:Exclamation Mark.png The external website linked here contains offensive language and/or content. content warning.
• Homemade Dance Party — Mike did animation for this children's project posted on Missy Palmer's Feline Revolution channel.

Film

• All the Real Girls — Among other things, Matt appeared as an extra known as "Strong Bad".
• Great World of Sound — The Brothers Chaps served as executive producers for this film, which was directed by Craig Zobel and produced by Missy Palmer. Matt and Missy both make cameos as auditioning musicians. The film focuses on a scam in the music industry called "Song Sharking" and was shown at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

• Missy Palmer has a developing résumé of film credits, available at her IMDB page.
  • Missy Palmer released her first documentary, D'artagnan is the Champion, about the origin story of a race horse named D'artangan. She is credited as the director and co-producer of the film, as well as one of the starring roles. Mike and Craig served as executive producers. Notably, Marzipan makes a cameo in the film, walking into The Field and remarking "I'm the only girl."
    • The original trailer for the film is entirely animated, and features music and sound effects from the Homestar Runner body of work.
• Matt and Craig wrote a stop motion film script entitled Monster Safari for The Jim Henson Company and Screen Novelties.
• Flynn’s Tangled Tales — The Brothers Chaps worked these promotional shorts for the Disney film Tangled.

Music and Music Videos

• In the retroCRUSH Interview, Mike states that Poot-Slap "was from a booty rap band we were in called 3-Dee".
• They Might Be Giants — The Brothers Chaps have collaborated several times with this band: they animated a Homestar Runner based music video for their song "Experimental Film", and they appeared with Homestar Runner puppets at their concerts. The Brothers Chaps also contributed a video, Figure Eight, for They Might Be Giants' children's album Here Come The 123s.

• Of Montreal — Matt and Mike directed the music video for the song "Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse".

• Y-O-U — In exchange for their help with producing the Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits CD, Mike and Matt animated the music video for their song "LA Lindsay".

• Air-sea Dolphin — Matt and Mike formed this band along with Robert Schneider of The Apples In Stereo, Ryan Sterritt, and James Huggins of Of Montreal and Elf Power in 2016. They currently have two releases to their name. On June 3, 2018, they released a split EP with sloshy providing the B-sides (which, appropriately enough, consist of re-recorded versions of "B-est of B-sides" and "American Football Championship"). They have also performed live at least three times.

Games

• Eye, Eye, Cap'n! — An extremely short game created in 24 hours for the VR Austin Jam 2018. Matt provided the voice for Cap'n Capman, who is named after him.
• Vacation Simulator — Matt is among the voice cast.
• All Hams on Deck! — Matt's voice clips from Eye, Eye, Cap'n are re-used, and Mike voices Hog Bad, a pig who looks like Strong Bad.

Family

• If I Ran the Camera — Mike and Matt created this Flash slideshow for a poem that their sister Karen had written for their father, Don Chapman, for Father's Day. The slideshow featured images of Don with his granddaughter Astrid Renee (Karen's daughter). This piece was a secret page originally posted on homestarrunner.com, but it was removed sometime in 2003 after the Brothers Chaps realized that fans had discovered it.
