The Super Bowl, also known as The Big Game, is the annual championship game of the National Football League, the highest level of professional American football in the United States, and has been honored and celebrated in several holiday toons. It is usually played on the last Sunday in January or first Sunday in February.
Appearances
- island — While stranded on a deserted island, Strong Bad and Homestar Runner find an ad for Super Bowl XIX.
- Superbowl Dealie — This toon was made to announce that the Strong Bad Email (huttah!) would be late that week due to the big game. Strong Mad takes it to the house.
- Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer — This was labeled as "Super Bowl halftime!!" on the main pages, because the Brothers Chaps put this trailer up at halftime of the 2005 Super Bowl.
- Main Page Message — The Friday, February 4, 2005 message read "We will be putting up our weekly update at halftime of the Super Bowl. So check it on out if you want."
- NYU Talk - 1 Mar 2005 — Mike Chapman mentions that for a couple of years, "we've been trying to do something for halftime at the Super Bowl".
- Sloshybowl — sloshy headlines the Super Bowl halftime show with the song "American Football Championship Game".
