Strong Sad Evolution

Strong Sad's design hasn't changed much. His arms have been changing in size and his voice has gotten higher. He has also grown less depressed.

Second design		2000	A Jumping Jack Contest; Strong Libs Hremail 7	His design has been refined, sporting a cleaner vector look with thinner outlines. His arms are not as short, reaching to just above his waist. For all of his screen time during this time, he faces the front as opposed to a three-quarters view. His mouth appears to be on one side of his face, and his eyes seem further apart.
Third design		2000	Theme Song Video; Yearbook Character Page Homestarloween Party, A Holiday Greeting; A Jorb Well Done, The Luau; The House That Gave Sucky Treats; depressio; The Interview 2022 Costume Pack Now Available	His outline is now colored, and his arms appear slightly shorter. His upper body is no longer shaded, and his mouth is more centered.
Fourth design		2001	The Best Decemberween Ever, Where's The Cheat?; various Strong Bad Emails from stand-up to radio; Pumpkin Carve-nival; Main Page 16; Homsar Main Page; A Decemberween Pageant; 3 Times Halloween Funjob; Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon; Experimental Film; Halloween Fairstival; Homestar Presents: Presents	He's rounder, his eyes are more glossy, his outline is thicker, his head is bigger, his body is slightly darker, he has much more advanced shading, and his mouth has a different shape and movement style in the toons from gimmicks on. His voice sounds more "delicate" than just "tired-sounding".
Current design		2005	Various Strong Bad Emails from origins to too cool; toons from Bug In Mouth Disease to current; Main Pages 23 and 24; Teen Girl Squad Issue 10	His legs are closer together, his front arm is longer, his shading is slightly different, he has a thicker, darker outline, his head is a slightly different shape and his eyes are a little further apart. Beginning in 2007, Strong Sad has become more self-confident and actively defends himself on occasion.
Current design	Used concurrently with prior design	2008	environment; rated; Compy Catalog; I Killed Pom Pom; Mr. Poofers Must Die	There is a light reflection on his stomach, and a shadow under his head. He also has more realistic fingers and thumbs, and is slightly taller. His belly button has been flipped. His outline is slightly lighter and his feet point away from each other when he is standing still.
