Because of the way his mouth was designed, Homestar Runner never smiles in normal animation. But he does occasionally when styled differently.
Appearances
- Email lackey — In an Easter egg, the opening shot shows a drawing of Homestar and Doreauxgard; Homestar has a wide-open smile.
- Main Page 25 — The same drawing appears as a logo on the curtain that appears when Characters is rolled over.
- Sketchbook — The September 27, 2007 item is three sketches of Homestar smiling, and the caption is "smilin' homestars".
- Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People — Due to being a 3D model, Homestar has a more realistic mouth, so he sometimes smiles.
