"Some Animal Died" is a phrase connected with Strong Sad. It originated from Homestar Runner's impression of Strong Sad, as he tried to recall the "depressing-type stuff" Strong Sad frequently said. Strong Sad himself has not actually said the phrase in a toon.
Saddy Dumpington, a folky variation of Strong Sad, also remarks on the deaths of animals; however, he does not use this phrasing when doing so.
