Leisure Suit Ali, Leisure Suit Ali's Sister.

Sierra was a successful adventure game developer of the late '80s and the '90s. Its games have been referenced numerous times in the Homestar Runner body of work.

Appearances

• The House that Gave Sucky Treats — The King of Town's subject line is "King of Town, Now Sit Down", a reference to "Hut of Brown, Now Sit Down", the phrase used to access a hut in Quest for Glory I.
• Email sisters — The numerous images of Ali and her sister are from the first two games in the Leisure Suit Larry content warning series.
• Several disks in the Floppy Disk Container refer to Sierra games:
  • Arcade Game and Email caper — "manhunter new york"
  • Puppet Time — "King's Quest II" and "Police Quest II"
  • Email pop-up — "code name: iceman"
  • Email technology — "gold rush"
  • Email the paper — "colonel's bequest"
  • Email magic trick — "rama"
• Thy Dungeonman — The fact that you are a "custodial knight" references Roger Wilco's job as a janitor in Space Quest. The box art depicts Thy Dungeonman posing in a similar way to Roger.
• Thy Dungeonman II — On the box, Thy Dungeonman holds a mop the same way Roger Wilco, the protagonist of the Space Quest series, does.
• Peasant's Quest —
  • The game is a parody of the King's Quest series, the first entry in particular. See King's Quest Series References for a complete list.
  • The game over screen is a reference to Space Quest III, which showed a picture of the game's creators trying to console you about dying.
• Halloween Potion-ma-jig — The whole premise of the cartoon is based on the formulaic combination of ingredients, stirring, and magic words required to perform the spells in King's Quest III. In fact, rose petal essence, one of the ingredients, is mentioned.
• Email technology — Strong Bad boots up "screen_savior.exe", a reference to an icon in the Cyberspace Office of Space Quest 6.
• Email pop-up — When the Tandy in the pop-up book says "Deleted" a second time, Strong Bad says "Police Quest".
• Email your funeral (DVD commentary) — After Strong Bad sings the funeral march, The Brothers Chaps sing the punchline tune. They then wonder if a King's Quest or Space Quest game did the same thing; indeed, it is the death jingle in King's Quest I and II.
• The Limozeen Advantage — The hamburger restaurant resembles Monolith Burger from Space Quest.
• SBCG4AP Dev Blog entry for 10 Jun 2008 — Strong Bad is listed as playing Gold Rush and mentions he's lost the manual.
• Crystal Fortress — A large, purple Strong Bad appears from behind a mountain the same way Iblis does in the intro to Quest for Glory II.
• Really Cool Boat — Strong Bad draws "a pair of King Grahams" from King's Quest for the boat's towers.
• WarioWare D.I.Y. Compilation — The way an eagle collects Rather Dashing is similar to how one collects Graham in King's Quest V.
• Halloween Hijinks — The Poopsmith dresses as one of the Two Guys from Andromeda, creators of the Space Quest series.
• Disk 4 of 12 - World Games — Strong Bad compares the game's Epyx flag to the cloud that appears when King Graham gets mauled by a wolf.
• Halloween Hide & Seek — All the costumes are based on classic adventure games; five relate to games published by Sierra:
  • Homestar Runner as The Hero from Hero's Quest (EGA)
  • Strong Bad as Sludge Vohaul from Space Quest II
  • The King of Town as The Antwerp from Hero's Quest (EGA)
  • The Cheat as Willy Beamish from Adventures of Willy Beamish
  • The Goblin as Creeper from Black Cauldron.
• Happy 20th Trogday! — This promo is a parody of popular text-parser graphic adventure games that received point-and-click VGA remakes in the '90s, most notably those from Sierra.
