During the course of the show, it featured a lot of comedians like Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, and Adam Sandler, which helped build their careers later in life. Some of the show's more popular sketches were spun off into movies such as <i>The Blues Brothers</i>, <i>Wayne's World</i>, and <i>A Night at the Roxbury</i>. Today, the show is still running, making it the longest running comedy show in America. There are references to <i>Saturday Night Live</i> in many Homestar Runner toons.
