Transcript

{Homestar Runner walks in to Strong Bad's computer room, holding a damaged tape. The Compy 386 is off and there is a note attached to the screen.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad? Strong Bad, I brought back your tape of old Mister Wizards! Okay, I'll just leave it on the floor.

{He drops the tape, and a shattering sound is heard. He sees the note.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {dramatically} A note! {turns to the camera} A note! {reading} "Probably at a barbecue... with lotsa ladies! SB." {mischievously} Oh, really?

{Homestar runs out of the shot to the left, then enters again with a quart-size dairy carton.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad! I'm borrowing this milk for an undisclosed period of time!

{Homestar runs across again, now with a squeegee.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad! I'm borrowing this squeegee-type-deal!

{He runs across again with an electric guitar.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Taking the guitar!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {struggling with a TV set} The TV! {he drops it} Phew!

{Homestar enters again, carrying an Atari 2600, but this time he meets The Cheat coming the other way, carrying Strong Bad's keyboard; the monitor has already gone.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey Strong Bad—

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat exclamation}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh! The Cheat!

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noises}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I was just, um, doing nothing, with... nothing that belongs to Strong Bad.

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noises}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh, you too, huh?

THE CHEAT: {The Cheat noises}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Cool, um, I'm going to... run away, now... pretty quickly.

{Homestar Runner and a screaming The Cheat run off, each in the direction he came from. The screen goes black momentarily, but then the shot returns for a moment as The Cheat leans in from the right and swipes Strong Bad's floppy disk container.}

Trivia

• A Kick The Cheat plush doll is used as Puppet The Cheat, rather than the usual puppet. The difference can mainly be seen in the glint in its eyes and the color of its chin spiral.
• Outtakes of the final sequence with The Cheat stealing the disk container are shown in Some Extras. The predicament of the hand in the shot was solved in the final website product by cutting out the edge of the picture and enlarging the remainder. The fade-to-black before the final sequence was inserted in order to mask the editing.

Real-World References

• Mr. Wizard is the pseudonym of Don Herbert. He was the host of the children's television program Mr. Wizard which ran on-and-off from the 1950s until the 1990s. The show featured Herbert and a young assistant performing interesting science experiments.
• The "milk carton" that Homestar borrows is, on closer inspection, a Winn-Dixie brand carton of Half and Half, not milk. Winn-Dixie is a supermarket chain based in Jacksonville, Florida with stores throughout the southeastern United States.
• The guitar is a Epiphone Evolution.

• Beginning in flashback, the guitar would become Limozeen guitarist Gary Palaroncini's signature instrument.

(Commentary by: Matt Chapman, Mike Chapman)

MATT: Here's a puppet time that I made when Mike was out of town! So, it was easier to do a little live action than to try and animate.

MIKE: This was, I guess— was this the second thing after the Everybody Knows It video?

MATT: I think it was! Umm, before the Strong Bad puppet was— existed, so we just had to use Homestar and The Cheat again. Uh, I remember, our buddy Nat helped out with this, and our friend Sarah was in town, and I think she helped out, too... {pause} There's some half-and-half that Ryan probably bought at the Save-Rite.

MIKE: {laughs} There's our real disk caddy from growing up—

MATT: Yes.

MIKE: —full of real games that we used to play.

MATT: Just copied versions of King's Quest II, Police Quest III, save disks etc.— err, Police Quest II, probably. Ooh, there's some— I never noticed those reflections in the TV!

MIKE: {simultaneously} Reflections? Yeah. {alone} Probably can't see them —

MATT: {simultaneously} You can't see!

MIKE: —when it was so small on the web.

MATT: {laughs} Yeah. Homestar's got that Atari... {pause} Umm... {pause} You don't usually see this side of Homestar, just ripping off stuff from people.

MIKE: {laughs}

MATT: He totally cleans out Strong Bad's place! And The Cheat, too! {imitating the music} Wayaw, wayaw! {in normal voice} I remember that took a lot.

• King's Quest and Police Quest are both computer game series produced by Sierra.
• "Wayaw wayaw", or rather "way-o way-o", was later used in geddup noise.
• Save-Rite was a rebranding of the Winn-Dixie grocery store chain that withdrew from Atlanta in 2005.
