Multiple Negatives

"Do you don't not dislike not Strong Bad?"

Occasionally in the Homestar Runner body of work, a character, most often Strong Bad, will use three or more negatives.

Appearances

• Email 50 emails — Strong Bad says, "Don't nobody go nowheres," when interrupted by a phone call.
• Email marzipan — Strong Bad says to Marzipan, "Do you don't not dislike not Strong Bad?"
  • While he was trying to mean "Do you like me?", he more accurately said "Do you dislike everyone but me?" without explicitly asking if she liked him.
• Email english paper — Strong Bad says, "Can't nobody say Strong Bad never did nothing for the peoples."
• Lookin' at a Thing in a Bag — Bubs says to Homestar Runner, "I don't... know nothing about nothing."
• Email suntan — Strong Bad says to the sun, "Don't pull no punches neither."
• Peasant's Quest —
  • Giving something to Jhonka results in him replying with, "Don't need nothing from no filthy peasantses!!"
  • The innkeeper's generic response to being asked about something is, "I don't know nothing about no whatever you just said."
• Email rock opera — Strong Bad tells The Cheat to "ix-nay on the cut-it-out-throwing-roses-at-me-may", which is a mix of double negatives and Pig Latin.
• The King of Town's Very Own Quite Popular Cartoon Show! — The King of Town says to the Poopsmith, "Don't forget to forget to wash your hands."
• Strong Badia the Free — If Strong Bad tries to use his lighter on someone, he'll say, "I'd love to see him not not on fire, but not not not now."
• Place Ya Bets! — Homestar says to the Deleteheads, "I dunno nuttin' about nuttin'!"
• Haunted Photo Booth — Coach Z says of a "handlebrah mustache", "these things'll never not ironically be unironically... always..." before trailing off.
• Onion Bubs iMessage Stickers — In an example of the stickers, Strong Sad asks if Strong Bad has seen his Garden Weasel, saying that he needs it "for good reasons and not not good reasons."
