As a piece of sports equipment used as a substitute for underwear, the jockstrap has been a staple of comedy for years. With a terrific athlete as its title character, jockstraps naturally turn up in the silly world of Homestar Runner, usually in relation to Coach Z.
Appearances
- In Search of the Yello Dello — A discarded jockstrap appears on top of the lockers when Coach Z talks to Homestar Runner in his "office".
- Halloween Fairstival — Coach Z tries to scare The Cheat with Blue Star Ointment, a remedy for jock itch.
- Email candy product — Strong Bad wonders why sports stars have licensed candy products when he thinks it would be more appropriate for them to have branded jockstraps or divorce lawyers.
