Popular hip hop trio De La Soul has been mentioned or referenced multiple times in the Homestar Runner body of work.
Matt Chapman listed their album De La Soul Is Dead as among his five favorite records in a 2003 profile.
Appearances
- Email 50 emails — One of Homestar Runner's commands to delete the email is "de la soul".
- Email monster truck — Homestar's line "Let's do this like Brutus" quotes the first skit on the album De La Soul Is Dead, which itself is a quote from the Public Enemy song "Bring the Noise".
