In today's modern world, credit card fraud is an unfortunate problem (also known as identity theft). This is also true in the modern world of Homestar Runner.
Appearances
- Email credit card — Strong Bad receives a phishing email asking for his credit card information, which he edits and forwards to Homestar Runner. After Homestar actually gives Strong Bad the information, Strong Bad then uses this information to purchase several expensive items from the_coolest_stuff_ever.com.
- Downloads (Easter egg) — The viewer can obtain Leomard Sportsinterviews' card and use it to unlock Homsar quotes.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2 — Homestar uses Marzipan's credit card to buy himself a $500 race car bed.
- Email isp — Strong Bad calls his ISP to complain that his internet connection is too slow. Homestar Runner answers the phone with "Thank you for calling The Internet! May I have your account number or identity theft, please?"
- DNA Evidence — The screen of the Lappy 486 includes text asking for people's credit card numbers.
