Its name may be a reference to Bubb Rubb, who became a meme after appearing on a story by KRON-TV about whistle tips, devices welded into a car's muffler to cause a loud whistle as the exhaust gas passes through. Further, the Brothers Chaps paraphrase his "catchphrase" in the Ever and More DVD commentary.
