An attempt at tele-toons

The Old Telebision Toons Menu has one turn the dial of the old wooden Telebision as its means of selecting toons.

An earlier version of this menu can still be seen. It does not include "A Jumping Jack Contest", nor does it have sound, full descriptions, or a back button.

Page Title: telebision at its best!

Available Toons

By channel number:

  1. The Reddest Radish — Marzipan's got the reddest radishes in town, but will she win first prize at the annual root festival?
  2. The King of Town — The King of Town has lost his crown. No wait, I mean his sheep.
  3. In Search Of The Yello Dello — Can Homestar catch a rare bird for Marzipan's birthday? Has Strong Bad been baking?
  4. Marshmallow's Last Stand — Homestar and Pom-Pom step into the squared circle to face the Brothers Strong. Goodnight Irene!
  5. Kick the Can — These long lost Homestar cartoons are arguably the oldest cartoons in the world. The funniest, too.
  6. A Jumping Jack Contest — The Brothers Strong are up to their no-goodness again. Homestar has a bladder? What?!?

Fun Facts

  • Rapidly pressing the channel button will cause the cartoons to appear on the wrong channels.
  • "Goodnight, Irene" is a folk song about a troubled lover. The phrase has also become slang to comment on something concluding to disastrous effect, such as a loss in a sports game; professional wrestler Adrian Adonis referred to his finishing move as "Goodnight Irene".
  • In the menu (or Flash file) with the working A Jumping Jack Contest and Marshmallow's Last Stand links, channel six is shown as "The Reddest Radish". However, when the play button is clicked, the cartoon shown is "A Jumping Jack Contest".
