Store Thank You Messages

After buying an item from the Store, you were once taken to one of four Store Thank You Messages. Which one you got depended both on the time on your computer clock and luck of the draw. If you tried to access the page without buying anything, you were taken to a fifth bonus page. After the toon played, you were automatically redirected back to the Store Front Page. The videos were removed on October 9, 2008.

This scene is reached by trying to view the thank you page without ordering something beforehand (see [#External_Links external links]). At the beginning, it displays the Netscape Missing Plugin Icon, which is still in use by Firefox, and other Gecko browsers, as it is a key component of Gecko. It knows whether you bought something by using JavaScript to give the Flash file your referrer URL.

Fun Facts

• To see the different purchase scenes, set your system clock between midnight and 4:59 am (or if already set there, between 5:00 am and midnight) then click on your back button. This can be done multiple times, just keep setting the clock to the desired time and going back. (Note: the Late Night Thank You will always play if your clock is set between midnight and 4:59 am as stated above.)
• The filename for Bubs's Thank You, thankyou_bubsness.swf, is a reference to the Broken Compy Menu, an older version of the Strong Bad Email menu.
• The page title, "Thank you so much for to buying our crap", is a reference to the ending of Super Mario 64 where Mario says a similar line, "Thank you so much for to playing my game," at the end of the credits roll.
• In the Homestar and Marzipan's Thank You message, Marzipan's guitar does not have its trademark "Carol" on it.
