Sucks

The dragon says it all.

"Sucks", and other variations of the word, is a euphemistic swear used by the characters of the Homestar Runner universe.

• Homestarloween Party — Homestar Runner's shirt says "corporate rock still sucks".
• Strong Bad Sings — One of the songs is "Everyone Who Doesn't Like Me More Than Likely Sucks Real Bad".
• Homestar Quiz — One of the answers to the question about Strong Bad Sings is "Why Must You Suck So Bad?".
• The House That Gave Sucky Treats — The title has the word "sucky" in it.
• Email dullard — In the second comic from the DVD version, the take out guy says "YER JOB SUCKS."
• Email invisibility — One of the things the Tandy 400 says in the Easter egg is "386? more like three eighty SUCKS!".
• Main Page 16 — The action for rolling over "Characters" involves Strong Sad sledding by on a sled, yelling "This sucks!" as he hits a tree.
• Email dragon — Strong Bad names the first dragon he draws "The S is for sucks".
• The Cheat's Character Video — The Cheat says to the viewer that he won't make a video for your band because "you guys suck".
• Email english paper — When Homestar says he is in Strong Bad's house, Strong Bad says, "Oh, that sucks."
• Email the bet — Strong Bad says "Yeah, that sucks. Look, do you have any video games or, like, R-rated movies?"
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — Strong Sad says that he feels less like he sucks so bad.
• Peasant's Quest — If you give the second keeper the correct answer, he'll say "That's right. Oh. This sucks.", and if you type "this sucks", the game will respond, "Come now. Don't get discouraged."
• Hallrunner — If you talk to the computer, the outcome says "It was a computer. Voice recognition software still sucks."
• Shopping For Danger — One of the commanders says "old ladies SUCK!"
• Email do over — Strong Bad wonders whether if he starts calling Coach Z Coach Zed, maybe he won't suck so bad.
• Biz Cas Fri 3 — Homestar says that Mancuso at Accounting sucks, and that Gunderson doesn't suck.
• Trogdor Con '97 — Strong Bad says that although a person's costume is accurate to the last detail, he says the TV show it is based off of "sucked!".
• Email geddup noise — Strong Sad wears a white T-shirt that reads "Corporate The Geddup Noise Still Sucks".
• Thy Dungeonman 3 — The response to the command "jump off bridge" is "We're not at that point yet. Ye don't suck THAT badly at this game."
• Email redesign — When Strong Bad loses a game called "Sundae Drivin'", he says "This game sucks."
• Lappynapped! — In the second Easter egg, Dolph Hauldhagen says "How many times a day do you ask yourself, 'Why do I suck?'".
• Happy Hallow-day — When Halloween night is almost over and there's no sign of Halloween night, Strong Bad says "Man, this sucks."
• Decemberween Short Shorts — Strong Bad says that the tube socks "totally sucks and [he] hates it".
• Email the movies — After Homestar wonders out loud how to spell tabasco, Strong Bad says "Were all the local sit-around-and-suck-out-loud places closed?!"
• DNA Evidence — Strong Sad says that Coach Z has a real sucky imagination.
• Email hygiene — Strong Bad says that the New Paper keeps sucking enough just to stay interesting.
• Trogday 08 — Strong Bad sings an entire song about the S is for Sucks dragon.
• The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck In His Craw — Strong Bad calls Strong Sad the Ghost of Christmas Suck.
• Somber Vacation — Strong Sad drinks a cup of coffee with beach sand on the rim, apparently known as a "Sucks on the Beach".
• Homestar Ruiner —
  • At the track, Strong Bad says Homestar stinks, and "not in the metaphorical 'you suck'" kinda way.
  • Strong Bad says that sports suck.
  • Before he draws Marzipan's house on his map, he says he's got half a mind to go over to Marzipan's and give her a piece of the rest of his mind about not inviting his to her "sucko party".
  • At The King of Town's castle, if Strong Bad climbs through the ceiling while Strong Mad is there, he says "Here comes the suck."
  • If you look at the Strong Sad trophy, Strong Sad will come and talk about his having asthma, and Strong Bad says "Yeah, yeah. Sucks to your asthmar!"
• Behind The Bad Chapter 1: The New Hire — When Strong Bad finds out his "office" is nothing but a closet, he says "Um... this sucks."
• Email being mean — Before and after the skit, Strong Bad says "You suck."
• Strong Badia the Free — After lighting the candle holders, Strong Bad says that the place still sucks.
• Baddest of the Bands —
  • After hearing his band play for a few seconds, Strong Bad says, "Wow, we sssuck."
  • When answering his second email, Strong Bad says that if you are over 24 that it sucks to be you.
• Most in the Graveyard — Strong Bad says that the King of Town's party sucks.
• Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — Strong Bad says that the simula-TOR's reality virtually sucks.
• On Break — During Homestar's song, one of the lines states that one has to share a bathroom with a kid from Alabama and "that kinda sucks".
• The House That Gave Sucky Tricks — The title, like The House That Gave Sucky Treats, has the word "sucky" in it.
