Button Effects

Toons — The floor flashes a bunch of different colors and the theme music plays.
Games — The Worm pokes its head out of its hole. Sherlock almost falls on it but it moves out of the way and goes back in its hole. Sherlock mumbles, and then floats off the screen.
Characters — Casio Head Strong Bad comes out and plays a keyboard rhythm.
Downloads — Eh! Steve! comes up, looks back and forth, and leaves. Roll over again, and he will come back and belt out his catch phrase, "EH! STEVE!" before leaving.
Store — The background pulls back to reveal the page's source code. A mumbling can be heard in the background.
E-mail — The Wheelchair appears in the background and says, "I know you're out there somewhere, Eh! Steve! I'll blast you 'til tomorrow nooooooon!" before leaving.

Trivia

Casio Head Strong Bad's head is a Casio VL-1. It plays the "Rock 1" rhythm, which is most famous for its use in the song "Da Da Da".
The HTML code shown when you drag your mouse over "Store" used to be the HTML code on the page, before the navigation bar was converted to Flash.
This is one of only five Main Pages to have Homestar in his regular outfit, size, and style (Main Pages 8, 19, 23, and 24 being the others). Of those, this page is the only one where nothing special happens with Homestar; he merely stands at the front and says the various words.

Fixed Goofs

Due to April Fools' 2006, some of the effects on this page were lost until January 18, 2021, when the page was restored to its original form. The results were as follows:
- Taking the mouse off "Toons" would cause the update button, the Weeklies buttons, the First Time Here? button, the links to the other Main Pages, and the copyright notice to disappear for a split second and reset the update button to the first update shown.
- Sherlock didn't mumble when "Games" was rolled-over, nor did the "helicopter" sound play when he flies off.
- Rolling over "Store" produced no sound effect and was faster in the process.
- After rolling over the "E-mail" button, the Wheelchair's mouth was off-sync and there was no "zoom" sound as he leaves.
