Homestar Runner shows more respect for The King of Town than most of the other characters do, but they do sometimes conflict with each other.

- Bug In Mouth Disease — Homestar eats the King's ice cream, believing it will freeze the bug out of his mouth. The King protests, claiming the ice cream to be his prescription.
- Halloween Potion-Ma-Jig — The King refuses to give Homestar the powdered herbs and spices, prompting Homestar to snatch them.
- Email more armies — Homestar and the King are the leaders of competing armies.
- Homestar Ruiner — The King is horrified and insulted by Homestar "exposing his giblets" to a government official. He issues an arrest warrant for Homestar, concealing the negatives of the latter's photo in the castle's Hall of Records for further study. However, because Strong Bad has stolen every single record, the King can't remember any crimes being committed whatsoever, enabling Homestar to walk out a free man.
