The word "stank" is used frequently as a noun to describe unpleasant smells.

- Peasant's Quest — If you type "in well", the phrase "It's dark and welly in there. Smell like stank too." comes up.
- Halloween Potion-ma-jig — Coach Z tells Pom Pom to give Homestar Runner stank water.
- Email modeling — Strong Bad advertises "Dr. Stankfoot's Watery Athlete's Foot Cream".
- Email the chair — Strong Bad's stool was "upgraded" to stank.
- In a Quote of the Week outtake from the same email, Strong Bad claims that a "stonk" upgrade can't be much later after "stank".
- Homestar Ruiner — According to Strong Bad's Teen Girl Squad comic, "perfume stank" + "athletic stonk" = "mustard gas".
- 8-Bit is Enough — Strong Bad says that Stooly is getting a ferocious case of the "sbemail bottom stank".
