That no-talent schwa sound
In phonetics, schwa refers to a short, unstressed and toneless vowel sound. Some examples of schwas in the English language are the 'a' in about, the 'i' in pencil, and the 'o' in eloquent. Visually, it is represented by an upside down 'e' (ə). References to this linguistic feature have occasionally surfaced in the Homestar Runner body of work.

- SBCG4AP Advertisement — Trogdor is seen burninating the schwa symbol in Trogdor: Let's Burninate Phonics.
- Email dictionary — Strong Bad dismisses the schwa as "that no-talent schwa sound", before going into his language's own "guttural utterances".
