π ≈ 3.14
Pi (π) is a numerical constant frequently used in mathematical calculations, defined as the ratio between a circle's circumference and its diameter. This special number arises in unusual circumstances in the Homestar Runner universe, however, usually without any obvious mathematical significance. When it appears, it is often expressed as an approximation.
Appearances
- Strong Sad's Lament — Strong Sad remembered his password at 3:14 PM.
- Email virus — While the virus is wreaking havoc on Free Country, USA, the King of Town is teleported to Teen Girl Squad issue "3.14159265and the rest".
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 8 — Smartly Pretty is spelled using a single π as the t's in "Pretty".
- Email technology — The solar calculator in the chalkboard drawing displays 3.14 on its readout.
- Weclome Back — Cool Tapes' records sell for $π.
- Summer Short Shorts — 3.14 appears on the calculator during Limozeen's song "Brain Sister".
- Email 4 branches — Homestar Runner states Coulomb's law, which includes the number pi.
- Email more armies — The scoreboard in the gymnasium displays the time "3:14".
- Strong Badia the Free — In the background of Math Kickers the pizzeria is called "Pizza π".
- @StrongBadActual tweet (14 Mar 2020) — Strong Bad linked to the Pie wiki article in honor of Pi Day.
