CompressOR
Normally in English, when a word ends with "-or", the O takes the schwa sound. Occasionally in the Homestar Runner cartoons, the O is pronounced with a long vowel.
Appearances
- Email band names — The first band name that Strong Bad invents is "Lazor", pronounced with a long O.
- Email other days — Strong Bad pronounces "instructor" using a long O.
- Lappynapped! — Dolph Hauldhagen uses the same pronunciation to refer to himself in an Easter egg.
- Original Book — In the DVD version, the narrator pronounces "competitor" this way.
- Email rock opera — Anonymous Contributor and his "parents" get their last name pronounced with a long O by Strong Bad.
- Fan Costumes 2016 — A fan dresses up as Anonymous, and Strong Bad again pronounces "Contributor" with a long O.
- Email narrator — Strong Bad pronounces "Factor Z" with a long O.
- Drive Thru — Strong Bad and The Cheat use "The CompressOR" to launch a model rocket to Europa in hopes of bringing back Europa-pean lobsters.
- Email more armies — The motto of The Municipality is "honor, valor, buttor", all pronounced with a long O.
- Email concert — Strong Bad tells the sender not to impersonate "The Burninator", pronouncing it with a long O.
- Email buried — Strong Bad and the announcer pronounce "metal detector" with a long O.
- Dangeresque Roomisode 2: The Intersection of Doom & Boom — Dangeresque pronounces "detonator" with a long O.
