Nails are pin-shaped fasteners used for construction, engineering, and many other things. They are seen frequently in the Homestar Runner universe.

• Main Page 7 — The title of the page is "Dead as a doornail!"
• Meet Marshie — A plate of marshmallows with nails in them with 3 batteries make up the food course "munch". In an Easter egg, a voiceover instructs kids to not eat nails.
• Email record book — One of the records is "Most pieces of macaroni nailed to a paper towel tube by Strong Mad".
• Email death metal — Taranchula's stop motion music video for "The Decoupage" depicts a piece of beef being stabbed by a nail.
• Email myths & legends — One of the constellations above Strong Badia is a piece of wood with a nail in it.
• No Hands On Deck! — Homestar Runner makes a deck out of galvanized nails. At one point, he claims that Wikipedia recommended "vulcanized nails". During the montage, Homestar is seen leading a parade of galvanized nails out of their box.
• The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck in His Craw — Tiny-Handed Strong Bad is described as being "tuff-as-nails" after he threatens to cut The Homestar Runner.
• Homestar Ruiner — Strong Bad claims that Marzipan's victory party for Homestar will be deader than a million doornails without him.
• Baddest of the Bands — Bubs says he's using galvanized nails to build the stages for the Battle of the Bands.
• A Death Defying Decemberween — Strong Bad tells The Cheat to work him over with a 2x4 that has nails sticking out of it.
