[[The Brothers Chaps]] have created or contributed to many '''projects independent of [[Homestar Runner (body of work)|Homestar Runner]]'''.

[[homestarrunner.com|HomestarRunner.com]] became the brothers' full-time job in 2002; prior to this, they took on freelance work or held other jobs. Working on the site largely [[Email FAQ|kept them busy]] throughout the 00s, though occasional outside work with friends and colleagues was done throughout the decade. The site underwent an extended [[Hiatuses|hiatus]] from 2010–2014, during which the Brothers Chaps focused on other opportunities. Homestar Runner activity was reestablished in [[2015]], at a much slower pace that allows the Chaps to continue to work on other projects.
