* Email [[senior prom]] — A "[[New Toon Soon|new toon soon]]" message was put up on May 2, 2006, despite the eventual update being a new [[Strong Bad Email]]. When the email came out the next day, the Main Page message changed to "king of town toon" in an effort to dupe viewers into thinking they would be watching a toon about [[The King of Town|the King of Town]].
* [[Sbemailiarized!]] — The toon was released under the message "new strong bad email", but scrolling over the message changed the text to "new strong bad email?" as a hint that something was off.
* Email [[hremail 3184]] — A "new toon soon" message was put up on June 29, 2009, despite the eventual update being the first new Strong Bad Email in months. It was released under the message "new hremail!" because the opening of the email deceptively resembles that of a [[Hremails|Hremail]].
