The meeples have only two to four colors, while the back (in some cases) and sides of the meeple have only one color (bolded in the "Colors" column). The reverse is typically a [[Flipped Images|flipped image]] of the design on the front, although a few have no printing on the back. The cottages and DAGRON meeples are exceptions, as they have different designs on the front and back. The meeples' designs are simplified with flat colors, and the artwork has few outlines.
